Finance Manager will be responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices, procedures and related company policies to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. Position holder will be accountable for producing and presenting monthly and ad hoc management reporting across P&L;, balance sheet and cash flow and will conduct reviews of Financial Statement with Business Managers for better understanding, reasoning for variances and exploring the opportunities for cost reduction and increase the profitability of the company

1. Business Decision Support

• Key member of the senior management team at the Business Unit

• Preparation of Monthly MIS reports

• Participate in preparation of annual budget

• Participate in preparation of Feasibility studies for new growth opportunities in existing/new markets, capital expenditure, new stores, marketing promotions and operational investments.

• Support in the identification of performance gaps, benefit cost evaluation of opportunities

• Support in the identification of performance indicators relevant to business.

• Ensure budgetary control and compliance with policies and procedures. Put in place a monitoring mechanism to ensure implementation of Financial/Operational Policies and Procedures.

• Develop a compliance framework and a robust Audit team to strengthen internal controls across the business especially in stores and warehouses.

• Coordinate with the external auditors for the interim and annual Audit of the unit and ensure that the Financials are Audited as per the time frame set by the H.O

2. Financial Reporting and Treasury

• Coordinate Internal and other types of periodic audits.

• Ensure compliance of SOP’s.

• Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

• Ensure timely submission of required information and periodic reports

3. Leadership of Finance Team

• Responsible for talent development and succession planning in the Finance function.

• Regularly plan and review team work, acknowledge progress and celebrate success with team and individuals.
