Private Equity – Investment Associate
Job Description
The company is an investment platform primarily focused on the healthcare sector, with additional interests in education and impactful real the company seeks to primarily invest in emerging markets by leveraging on the knowledge and distinctive track record of its founders and team to build successful companies that can make a significant difference in well-being and human development.the company is currently looking for an investment professional to join the team as an Investment Associate based in the Cairo, Egypt office.A critical member of the Firm’s transaction team, the Investment Associate will support senior members of the investment team through financial and market based analysis.This will include;
Providing the initial screening and review of potential investments to be included in the Firm’s investment pipeline.
Extensive financial modelling including financial projections, returns and sensitivity analysis, and different valuation methodologies.
Involvement in various due diligence work streams with respect to potential investments being considered by the Firm.
Preparation of investment recommendation documentation to presented to the Firm’s investment committee.
Participation in negotiations with potential investment promoters with respect to investments being considered by the Firm.
Managing the development of Investment Analysts within the team including analytical and critical thinking with respect to investment opportunity analysis, financial modelling and valuation skills, as well as written presentation skills.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for emerging market Private Equity investing, with interpersonal and team skills allowing them to work successfully as part of a cross-border team based environment, and have;
An excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic with the ability to formulate opinions and ideas effectively.
Strong financial analytical insight and critical thinking with the ability to proficiently translate into spreadsheet modelling and PowerPoint presentations.
Organizational and time management skills with a focus on attention to detail.
At least 5 years’ relevant work experience preferably at a private equity firm, investment bank, or management consultant.
The role is based on Cairo, Egypt and will require minimal travel.
